When people use the name Christ as a swear word, I pray God forgive them for they don't know what they are doing. The Bible tells us that the mysteries of God are not made know to the perishing and the dying. The ones that have not accepted Jesus The Christ as their Savior. They are not givien the truth to trample under foot. Jesus was spat upon and beaten and made fun of while here on earth. He knows that those that choose to reject Him will continue to abuse Him and His people that are called by His Name. They don't realize that the Name they use is more than just a swear word it's the presious Son of God. The Bible teaches us that in the end when they are before the God, the creator of this world and the one who created them, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Christ the Son of God. And then they will be cast in to everlasting darkness where there will be nashing and anguish forever and ever. They need to repent ( admitting they are sinners, and turn from their wicked ways) and ask Jesus The Christ to come into their hearts and live. The Bible teaches us that He is a just God and if we call upon Him we shall be saved. He knows the heart of every person. And every person will give an account of the deads they have done whether good or evil. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. We need Jesus The Christ to save us because we cannot be good enough to save ourselves. They use the Holy Name like they do because they do not know Him. I don't think they would like someone using their mother or daddys name as a cuss word or by word...do you?.

Crimes, wars, torture, the Spanish Inquisition to name a few have all been done over the centuries by people who claim to be followers of Jesus. I have always said "Christians give Jesus a bad name" Either by editing the Bible or being evil, the Catholic church has done damage to Christianity. In fact it is thru the miraculous life of Jesus that his message still gets thru to people like Mother Theresa and Bono. Non-Christians watch the behavior of Christians and don't realize Christ was so much better than any person in the world. I wish I knew how to fix it, but I don't

I don't think it is like a 4 letter word to most people. I bet if you were to check a poll of people in the U.S., you'd find that the majority of people are Christians. If you spend a lot of time on YA, you may start to think otherwise because a lot of people have a lot of different and strong opinions.

The Christian church and its followers have cause many problems and evils in the world. It is a discriminatory, bigoted, persecuting organization (and has been since inception). I think that the word 'christ' is not what people are reacting negatively to, but the church(es) and their dogma(s).

People fear Christ because they know in their hearts that by believing in him, he will reveal their sins to them. While they are living in their sins, they cannot see them because of the darkness surrounding them. I have attached some verses from the book of John to further explain how Christ himself described this.

My faith in Christ startred when I was little and my grandmother took me to church. People don't understand how wonderful he is. They just don't know that nothing is possible without him. they don't understand that he can take everything they have in a minute for not acknowleding how wonderful he is.

Some people can't accept that other people believe in things they don't .
If someone doesn't believe in God it's their choice but they shouldn't try to force their ideas on other people.

christians are annoying thier bible is a bad code for morals and thier God sucks. yes Jehova is a retard. Jesus had issues and christ is a six letter word.
