I must have accidentally deleted all my pictures from my digital camera that were on my pc. They are pictures of my 10 month old daughter and I REALLY want them back. They were in Kodak Easyshare program. The thumbnails are still there, but when you click on them, it says it cannot find them. Is there some way to get them back??

tis is a tricky one. if the thumbnails are there try searching your recyclebin (rightclick and then select explore) if the files are there then restore them.
if not then they may be stored still on the cameras medai card. if not available in your digital camera then only one other optin left open to you and thats to download a system recovery tool WARNING INSTALL ON A SECONDARY COMPUTER AND CCONNECT THE DRIVE WHERE THE PICTURES WERE STORED TO THE SECOND COMPUTER AS A NON BOOT DRIVE. failure to do this could result in the files being lost forever so could using your pc and saving new data on your harddrive as once deleted the area allocated to the file is over written aas the system requires. do not defrag either until the files are recovered.
try a program such as file scavenger from quetek consulting. email me if you want me to send you a copy of the share ware so you can get the full version of this program.
when you run this program DO NOT RECOVER TO THE DRIVE THEY ARE STORED on as you may inadvertantly record data over them.
once recovered BURN them to A DVD using nero or one of the other top burning programs on the market.

system recovery will probably NOT fix this problem as system restore normally only restore system settings and not personal files.

If you have a professional look at your computer, they might be able to bring back deleted items. Most people don't know, but Windows was designed to permanently store anything for only 1 week after it has been deleted, then after that, the items will have been erased

Try going to the recycle bin on your computer and see if they are there.
