I have to agree it is gross. I have a puppy but during dinner time, he goes to his dog house. That is just nasty to let a dog eat off a plate. Plus that is just rude to allow that to happen when they have guest over who just ate off a plate that the dog may have licked all over the day before. I am totally with ya on that one.

It's not just U its like U said manners, I love my dogs but I'm not going to let them lick the plate even if i didn't have company that's why they sell dog bowls. Your just a well brought up young man, your parents taught U manners, just be the young man U are. Have a safe & happy 4th, God Bless!!

I think that is bad manners. If a person lets their dog lick off the plates they shouldn't do it when company is there. Somethings should just be don't in private :-)

I think it's gross. Dogs and cats should have their own dishes. If I wanted to give them table scraps, which isn't good for them, I would put it in their bowl.
Some people lose their manners when it comes to pets. They let their pets jump all over people and lick hem. I love animals, but I understand that they are not humans and need to be treated differently.

Yeah it does. I mean Im sure they wash them too but it's just the fact of the matter.Dogs lick their butts. I don't want them licking my plate. But hey, maybe that's how they do their dishes.

This is one of the best ways I know to get plates ready to be washed. Doing so in front of company is more than a little trashy, though.

Yeah, but what you really need to look at next is whether they wash with sponges or rags, because sponges will hold the dog spit germs and spread them on the other dishes, so pretty much the pots and pans and the glasses have dog slobber on them too......EWW how gross!

Well, the high temperature of the water in the dishwasher would kill any bacteria on the plate, but I would still perceive it as laziness on their part. Why not just dump the food in the dog's bowl?

That is kind of nasty, but I am sure that the plates end up getting properly washed afterwards. I try not to think of those things, it will make you crazy.
I went to a restaurant once and there was lipstick on my glass, yuck.

yo, that is disgusting, I think I would vomit on the spot if I saw that, knowing that I have just eaten off a plate that had dog slobber all over it many, many times. If ever ate their again I would probably bring my own plate and utensils, and maybe even my own food. haha
