Not at all. Polytheism is man's natural perception of the divine. Greeks had it right until the Christians confused them with their "one god" (who is "three persons" anyway, lol).

I think that there are a lot of things that are easier to believe than others. For instance, in Greek mythology, someone may find it easier to believe in multiple gods instead of one because it would make everything more organized (i.e. god of the sea, god of love, etc.) However, I don't think it makes it right to believe in more than one God. For instance, sin is a lot easier than righteousness, but that doesn't make it better. So, it's not weird that you find that easier, but I think you should dig a bit deeper and look for the truth. There is one Almighty God! Best wishes and God Bless!

People are saying that you are wrong because they believe their is one true god. But, its only a more believable story. Their have been religions for thousands of years but, that doesn't mean they were right. You say, well we had Jesus. There have been many messiahs in many religions but that doesn't mean their right. Yes, Jesus the person did exist at one time but not as god himself or even the son of god. You may try to throw bible verses at me to say your right. But, the bible itself wasn't written itself until 300 years after Jesus died. The first part included in the bible wasn't written until 80 years after he died. Not only that but the bible has been changed thousands of times over the last 1700 years. Mostly because it had to be hand written for a very long time, people put more stories into it, and people changed or took out parts of it that didn't suit them. We have found thousands of versions of the Bible and we use the changed ones. We dont use the earliest versions of the bible because it doesn't suit what religious people today want to believe.
I do not find it horribly wrong that you believe that way. But, that doesn't mean its right. This is how the bible was changed. People thought certain things they thought were right, so they added them to the bible. Same thing with things they didn't like. They took it out or changed it.
Email me if you think I'm wrong. But try to have some facts behind you.

If you mean The Father, Son and Holy Spirit you are OK. There are three divine persons in the one God. So if you need to think about more than one God thing about the Trinity, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit..

Most children only believe in one God. As we grow up we meet many written doctrines that contradict this. These doctrines grew from men who did not understand how to interpret parables like the masters (Joseph or Daniel or Isaiah).
Think back to when you were a kid. Didn't you pray to one God like - God if you are there show me? Something like that.
And check out my web!

Hmm...I don't think it's necessarily weird. even the egyptians and greeks believed in multiple gods. However I know that there is one true God who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. I would like you to read the Bible and you'll find amazing things that God has done and can do. Try it!

the idea of a single most powerfull being that rules everything is kind of hard to accept to most people. It goes against all limitations we've known since our birth. It is easier on ourselves to distribute the powers of nature and other physical things to different gods or powerfull beings.

If people can imagine one, why not many - the more the merrier.
If your going to have an illusion - why not a grand illusion? Think BIG. The Greeks had many gods. Many hands make light work !

I can see how you could believe that. I personally don't believe in God as "being" per se, but as the formless, genderless energy source which is the process of life itself.
