LOMPOC FLORAL FLAG--- This 6.65 acre floral flag, was grown in the summer of 2002 by Bodger Seeds, Ltd in Lompoc, California. It was made from more than 400,000 red, white and blue larkspur flowers. Each 5-pointed star was 24 feet in diameter and each stripe was 30 feet wide. At 740 feet wide by 390 feet high it maintained the proper flag dimensions as described in executive order 10834.

Yep, they did it during WW2 as well... it's incredible to get up in the hillls and look down at it. Haven't been back in a little while but, you should go by there and hit up some of the local bars... Jaspers and Lennies. It's about the only thing to do in Lompoc besides meth.
