Hanukkah is the celebration of the successful Maccabean Revolt, as described in the books of I and II Maccabbees.
How could they have celebrated their victory over the Syrians before they had a victory?
You may want to re-think your question.....

Your question assumes that Chanukah was celebrated before the Maccabees and that it was "re-applied" to what happened at that time.
Well, I'm sorry, but that assumption is incorrect. There was no Jewish holiday at that time before the holiday was established in Maccabean times.
Perhaps you are confusing it with the practices of pagans at the time who celebrated the winter solstice.

My husband and that i've got been observing Michael Rood, yet getting perplexed. Praying for know-how, and the terrific suited pathway. Pagan techniques are not my techniques anymore, yet my friends and relatives all rejoice and celebration on presently. this could be the only day s out of a year all and sundry gets together so my husband and that i circulate circulate to. they're unfastened to have faith as they desire, and so as that they understand our new ideals, which, we are nonetheless getting to understand and attempting to tell apart the undesirable from the solid. i've got faith the guy who began this positioned up is on the terrific suited music! Prophets only.....using a variation of pin the tail on the donkey they would "at random" poke idol worshipers in the eye and warn them of their futuristic visions then, score additional points by tricking the pagans into pulling their fingers.
