go to the drug store and buy earplugs and wear your hair down - it's really nothing to be ashamed of, and it's better for your hearing in the long-term!

Get yourself some of the foam earplugs. Tell him the truth, if he really cares and is a man he will understand and be sensitive to your feelings. He may try to find somewhere to watch the fireworks from a distance so the sound is not an issue.

Talk to him before hand let him know about your problem by ear muffs or ear pluggs and go enjoy the fire works with your bf. Its a win win situation. YOur not going to be considered a dork for trying to protect yourself from harm. If he cares about you he'll understand and there shouldn't be a problem. Communication is the key

bring some tissues and stuff them in your ears when no one is looking. ^_^ I'm the same way, very sensitive ears, so that's what I do!

Use those spongy earplugs, or the silicon putty ones. They won't look dumb and the silicon is clear.
