Why is it that 10 million illegal immigrants in the US vote in Mexico's election? They obviously dont want to be in Mexico, so why in the heck would Mexico let them vote? Makes no sence to me... Why WOULD you vote in a country that you dont want to be part of.... ? and no one give me that junk about their trying to better their lives here..... if they want to make a difference, stay in Mexico and MAKE a difference, get into politics.... Mexico may be a pour country, but there is alot of money to be made there.

For those who acted like this was a stupid question, check on CNN.com to see how many ILLEGALS IN AMERICA voted in the election, then get YOUR FACTS STRAIT.

Let me ask you this now.... Iraq is a crappy country, right? So why not let them come to the US by the thousands? Thought about it for 2 seconds? Ok then you see my point. When eastern european migrants came to Amercia and STARTED this country, there were no immigration laws, so nothing was illegal about it. So dont point that finger either.

There are alot of jobs that no one else will do, biggest being farming and agriculture. Its going to happen, Africa will trive off of it too, fruits and vegitables can be sent here on a boat in 5 days, and be slightly preserved. As far as I know you take a look, America got along fine before this BOOM of immigration a have a century ago.

The really astounding part is that there were voting stations set up at the border for all those that couldn't get the mail in ballot in on time! What a wasted opportunity! We could have just corralled them into a livestock truck and shipped their illegal butts due South!

People move to the USA because their countries unfortunately cannot offer them a good life. But usually only the father, or just a couple of family members come to the United States, the rest of the family remain there. Eventhough they are un the US, they still are connected to their country.

And trust me, they would love to be in their country and not here, but they have to feed their families someway. Comming here is not an easy decision for anybody, specially when cultures are so different and leaving your country means to leave your family, culture (music, food, customs, sports...), languange, etc... back there, to come here to do the jobs North Americans don't want to do... which are not the best jobs, otherwise... why is that North Americans don't want to do them, huh? But... people have to do what they have to do, is called survival.

Countries like Mexico allow Mexicans to vote in other places of the planet... but that is just in a few countries, not all off the allow this.

I agree - they shouldn't be allowed to vote in Mexico's election if they are in the USA illegally. If they showed up at polling booths set up here, they should have had to show documentation to prove they are here legally before being allowed to vote and if not, they should have been deported immediately - then, they could vote in Mexico. Many of them probably did their votes by mail-in ballots so we wouldn't be able to check them out first, anyways.

Why is it because they are citizenhs of that country that's why! Its not that people don't want to be in mexico its just that there is no opprtunities over there.Like i said they are citizens over therefore they have the right to vote just like you do here because you are a citizen. To you it might not make sense but what is there that confuses you its that simple they are citizens. First of all its not junk everyone comes over here for opprtunities. Your ancestors did and so did mine. Its not that easy to get into politics either. Its not like if you can just say i want to be into politics and get into them. nothing in this live is easy. If live where like that we wouldn't be doing anything we are doing now. Illegals should be allowed to vote in their country if the opprtunity isn't given top them here. Its simple.

they arent in mexico because it is a horrible place.
thats why they came to america.
they VOTE because they want a better country.
they CAN vote because they are still registered in mexico, not in america, obviously.
they come to america to make money to send back to their families, so their children dont have starve. im sure if they could do that without having to leave their country they would rather do that.
and there is a lot of money of money to be made, but not by the common man. so he comes to america, so he can get his family out of the tool shed they are living in.

the illegals are hated by americans, and many of americans want them out of america. but in actualility, if all of the illegal immigrants were to leave today, our economy would collapse. they make grow and pick our food, the clean our toliets, they take out our garbage. they work the jobs most people would refuse to work, and are paid minimum wage or less. but the millions of them that are here drive our country. when many mexican americans, and illegals took days off of work to protest our governments action against them i economy took an increasingly bigger and bigger dive, only to come back up when they went back to work.

do some homework before you ask stupid questions.

It's hard for anyone who doesn't have an idea what Mexico is like to understand why its people have to come here to make a living. If Mexicans are voting abroad it is with hope, that someday their children can have better opportunities than what they have now. And if doesn't make sense to you, its because you need to broaden your scope a little.

This is the first year that Mexico has allowed them to vote via mail. The US has done it for their citizens for years! Why dont you ask why Americans that are in other countries want to vote for their presidents too?

They do want to be a part of Mexico. They and their children still feel they are Mexican. They are just here for the money and the life. Besides, the constitution of Mexico says once you are Mexican, you are always Mexican, no matter what. When they relinquished(if legal) ties to their homeland, they were only giving it lipservice.

Well, first of all not all, Mexicans registered to vote, not even one million. And only about 33,000 people did actually vote. Notice that I did not said legal or illegal, all of them could vote.
