I'm guessing that you haven't tried anything successfully. Diet and exercise are the only ways to lose weight and keep it off. It takes a while, it takes a committment, and the longer you do it the easier it gets, because it changes your lifestyle. By diet, I don't mean these fad diets that make you eat all protein or South Beach. I mean eating less of everything. One way is to use a smaller plate, and just put less food on it. If you do this for just one week, and only eat at meals, walk a mile a day briskly, you WILL see results. Try fruit for dessert, and reward yourself with an ice cream one day a week, so you have a treat to look forward to. Keep your dieting to yourself, it makes it easier to do. If anyone remarks on your changing eating habits, just tell them your trying to eat "healthier." I really can't stand the word "diet!" It makes it sound like it is something temporary that you're only doing for a while. This is a lifetime committment to changing your eating habits. You'll be so glad you did it! I had a friend who went from 295 to 132 (female, 5'4") and KEPT IT OFF. So it can be done!

Sorry to disappoint you, but you have to eat better and exercise. At your age, you should not have a problem with doing cardio and weight training exercises, so do both. The cardio will help you lose weight now and feel better. The weight training will not only help you lose weight and look better now, but they will also make it much easier for you to keep the weight off in the future. Remember, though, you're not trying to become Hercules or anything, so don't try to overdo it. Every little bit helps.

Also, eat a diet that is high in low-fat protein (chicken, lean beef, turkey, etc.) and moderate in the consumption of carbohydrates. Almost all your carbs should come from slow-digesting sources (whole grain breads, sweet potatoes, unprocessed brown rice, etc.) as this will give you the carbs you need for energy without an insulin spike that will help store fat.

How tall are you??? That makes a big difference. You may yet to be going through your growing spurt? Or you may just have a slower than normal metabolism?? If your height is within normal range of someone your age and you're simply overweight, exercise and diet are the two best things you can do (provided that all other areas of your health are also within normal ranges).

Some junk food is fine but not in the evenings. Try to stay active! Bad habits are eating then sitting watching TV etc. Also.... if you have a full length mirror available... make it a point to look at yourself naked in front of it at least once a day as a reminder and to keep you motivated! Start drinking A LOT of water!!!

Talk with your gym teacher at school or someone similar! Tell them you're concerned about your weight and want to get in shape, look good etc!!! If they're a good teacher they will be willing and happy to help you, give advice and/or create an exercise program you can follow when not at school.

First, completely remove refined sugar from your diet for 14 days. It is more difficult than it sounds, but if you take the most stringent "phase one" of the South Beach Diet, it will help provide some stringent guidelines to begin with. Advantage of this particular phase of the diet is that you really don't have to go hungry, just do some surgery on your standard diet.

Second, try to come up with an exercise regimen with your doc that burns a significant amount of calories relative to your daily intake. This might build up eventually to 60 minutes of aerobic activity (i.e., ride a bicycle 30 minutes away from home. When you hit the 30 minute mark, turn around and go home) every other day, alternating with basic strength training on the off days.

When you say you have tried everything, have you tried this...for a full 30 day cycle?

Stop drinking soda, stop eating anything made with bread or flour, nothing made with high fructose corn syrup. Start eating 6 small meals a day.. Cut out all carbs except for a salad or handful of carrots with each meal. Drink only water.. Do this for a month and you'll lose 20 pounds.. Do it for 2 months you'll lose an additional 10 pounds..

The key is to also dosome type of aerobic such as walking or running.. Begin with walking 3 miles every couple of days.

Portion control and exercise. 30 minutes of walking each day would be a good way to start. Weight training is also great. Cut out excessive sugars from your diet. I lost 20 pounds from going on a vegeterian diet but if you like meat, eat in moderation. Same goes for everything you put in your mouth. I have never come across a diet pill that works.

I'm sure you've tried it, but you need a healthy diet, and exercise. Start eating fruits and vegies. Run every morning. Work out every other day. But the most important part is you must stay with it. If you only do it for a month, you may lose 5 pounds or so. I can't emphasize that enough.

Good enough... It iciness (good i reside within the uk) but try to go on cycle rides and swimming. Or within the mornings turn on the radio and have a little wild dance secretly. Best watch tv/go for your computer/laptop for 1 HOUR per day. Don't go over. Do not go over. GET outside. When you have a canine or anything take it for walks. Or in case your mum needs some thing from the retailer, get it. Simply get out of the apartment. Even browsing is activity so simply stroll!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope it goes well....And also you lose your 35 pounds (although you don't need to :-P)

I do the low carb, high protein and I exercise , I do weight training 4days a week with cardio, 2 days upper body and 2 days lower body and all the other days I either go swimming or I take walks. I think that is what works for me, just watching what I eat and staying active. Your still very young so if you can get control of your weight now it could be very beneficial to your health as you get older and having a support group (mom, dad, friend) will also help you.

Sensible diet and exercise. . .but I'm sure you've heard that before.

The problem is that weight is, to a point, hereditary and so is the functioning of our metabolisms. I know I'm going against every socially correct viewpoint here, but it is possible to be heavy and healthy. As long as your blood glucose is normal and your cholesterol and blood pressure, and as long as your body is in shape through regular exercise, you are not a health risk.

Now society, especially ours, will say differently. Heavy women are valued in some cultures, because they send the message that the husband is able to provide well for his family. It is a sign of affluence. It is too bad that such rabid discrimination exists in the US.

Medical science is working to come up with a way to stimulate metabolism to assist in weight loss of those with slow or malfunctioning metabolisms. Until that happens, eat frequent, small meals rich in fiber and get in at least 1/2 hour of exercise (cycling, walking, swimming) a day. And don't let your body get you down. Any friend who is worth your time and energy will see past the pounds to who you really are.
