No there native to there contrey and you could be fined.


But birds like pigeons and starlings can be kept as pets since there origanaly from asia.

Also dog food in that baby bird care info I typed up theres nothing wrong with it as long as it has more vege's than corn its healthy I raise birds and there all fine but you may need to add some extra fish in the kingfisher diet no salt tho and make shur NO onions.

There are really very few wild birds that will adapt to captivity at least without large enclosures. I have never heard or anybody keeping a Kingfisher. To me this bird is not communal like the budge and is a preditor. I think it is unlikely.

Kingfishers do very poorly in captivity. They stress very easily, and often die from stress even under the best circumstances.

No, they are wild birds, not domesticated nor suitable for domestication. Considering they fish, you'd need to keep one in an avery with a lake....that would be a heck of a big Avery.

As far as I know you are not legally allowed to keep wild animals as pets. You should contact your local department of wildlife to check for sure in your state.

No. They are considered birds of prey by the DNR. $30,000 fine if you are caught.

they would probably die in captivity cause they are used to a wide hunting range
