Grilled chicken, grated carrots, diced tomatoes, cucumber, mandarian oranges and almond slices. pour a tiny bit of your favorite tangy vinagerette salad dressing on top. It hits the spot!!! Also if you add sunflower seed or soy nuts it tastes yummier...I think at least!

Nodbody has mentioned avocados. They are the very best thing to put in salad (also on hamburgers and in tacos and with chicken and just by themselves). I would also add green onions, celery, and tomatoes to my salad.

This is just me, but I like to put:
Boiled eggs, hot peppers, green peppers, olives, sliced carrots, sliced beets (after being soaked in the juices) italian dressing or vege. oil and red wine vinegar with a little balsamic.
But hey, thats just me. But not all that stuff at once. Too over-powering

cilantro, almonds, chicken salad (chicken, mayo, celery), cucumbers. some people like mandarin oranges. my mom had a salad once with mandarin oranges, strawberries, and blue cheese chunks in it. she said it was good. you could also cook some ground beef or turkey before, chill it, then add to the salad with some cheese, jalapenos, and olives. makes a good taco salad.
