you could start a New Moms support group. Post flyers around town. I am also a new mom in a new town, and am considering doing this myself for all moms, whether single or not or working or not. All moms need suppport! :)

there are lots of things you can do, being a single mother myself I signed my child up for a story time group at the library. They have them for different age groups and there are a ton of parents and children there. There are also mommy and me classes that may be offered through a neighborhood recreation association. Also single parent support groups. Good Luck...

Check with the county you live in for programs like PIP (Partners In Parenting) or ECFE classes it is a great way to meet other mom's and children. Or you can just go to local parks too.
