Well I would let the chicken eat the grain then let the wolf eat the chicken, that way, technically, you would be taking the grain in the chickens stomach, the chicken and the grain in the wolfs stomach across the river. Though I guess having the chicken eat the grain and the wolf eat the chicken would not be getting the grain and chicken across the river safely :D

1)Wrap the bag of grain many times in foil. Take across river.
2)Put the chicken in a strong cage. Take across the river.
3)Put a long leash on the wolf and tie it to a tree. After you take it across the river.
4)Have the grain, the chicken , and the wolf 20 feet apart on the other side of the river!

In two trips: take the wolf and the grain across. Go back for the chicken.
In one trip: put the grain in the boat. Hold the chicken over the side, and the wolf will swim alongside of the boat.
In my twisted world: Grind the grain into flour; make a nice pie shell. Kill the chicken and make a chicken pie. Shoot the wolf and make a nice warm wrap out of his hide; put on the wolfskin hood and take your chicken pie across the river.

You leave the chicken. You take the wolf and the grain across to the other side. Come back and get the chicken, then go back across to where the wolf and grain are.

take across the grain, then the wolf. since the wolf doesn't eat the grain, it will go away somewhere. then, bring the chicken over to eat the grain.
or
bring over the grain and the chicken and the wolf won't eat the chicken while he watches the chicken eat the grain. scatter the grain around.
