A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse? Give a reason.

Yea, the bird adds the weight needed for the bridge to collapse.

the bridge can only hold the amount of the truck.. and then a bird went on it so it can't hold the extra two er three pounds.

Not likely. the 14,000 lbs is a suggested weight limit and I'm sure the bridge could accomodate the additional weight of a small bird.

use up the gas and let the bird sit on the truck all is good for the truck and for the bird
