I have known many illegal immigrant familes from Mexico and other South American countries, and they possess much better attributes than Americans, they are more united, they are humble, helping, and have the biggest hearts than any of us, even though we hate them so much, they are not hateful people by nature like us so they could never hate us. How many of you have known Hispanic families and firsthand saw some of what I speak of, yet you come here and bash them behind their backs.

Sad to say we are consumed by a superiority complex, and lack humility, which makes us less than good people compared to the illegal aliens which are more than good people. Sorry guys, its the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Friend

I would like to try to respond to a couple of your comments as best I can. This is, of course, my opinion;however, I think it correlates well with what I see around me and those I know. I have worked with many immigrants and have quite a few as neighbors. And, I agree with you as to the quality of character of them. But, let me share my opinion of a couple of other remarks.

First. (...even though we hate them so much,) I am not aware of hhate for these fine people. I have not heard any people that I know question their character or impune their dignity or their value as individuals. Here's what I think happens. The political debate becomes quite hot and angry over issues of law and how to handle important issues like security and the costs of immigrants on our social welfare system. These debates can be quite heated, but, to my observation, these issues can be very hotly debated without questioning the character or the worth of the individuals. That is what I observe.
I am sure that there are some people who are filled with "hate", but they are a small minority. There are always a few, but they do not control the important debates over the issues that illegal immigrants bring up. These issues have to be debated. That's the way government works. And, government/politics is messy. Actually, I think some politicians and activists bring up the idea of "hate" and other emotional tools in order to push their political agenda without having to debate the details. Its always easier to do that.
Second. (...Sad to say we are consumed by a superiority complex, and lack humility...) You are right. There is a lot of truth in that statement, but it does need, in my opinion, to be tempered with some realism that we should not be afraid to admit. The American experiment has been a marvelous achievement among all the history of mankind. Don't you suppose that is the very reason that so many people wish to come here at almost any cost as well as to escape from environments which are much worse and lacking in the opportunities to be found here. Politics in this country sounds mean. And, we get it 24/7 because of the miracle of modern communications, but I believe that the average American is a good, welcoming, caring person. I admit most of us are trapped inside our daily routines and don't want to be inconvenienced by loving and giving more. But, frankly, I don't think the average person is quite the stereotypical uncaring, bigoted hater that is painted by certain "activists" in order to push their points and appease their own audiences.
Just like I can tell that you care. And, I would like to say, "Keep it up." But, don't assume that everyone who wants to see immigration under some control is motivated by "hate". It could be that they are good people who just think that common sense and the law has to play a role in order for our society to survive.
And, I would like to say to all immigrants, legal or illegal, that might read this, " you are a valuable person of dignity. I admire your hard work and devotion to making a better life for youself and your family. I pray you will succeed and be good citizens of this great American experiment in freedom, self government, and personal growth. Bring your faith and your talents and help to build an even better tomorrow for yourself and your neighbor just as many others have done before you."

Everyone, let me tell ya something... I cannot generalize and say that all of the illegals have "much better qualities", but I can, from my personal experience, say, that they have very good reasons for breaking the law by staying here illegally. I have a MA degree that did not give me a living back home. Here, I do landscaping and I pay all the taxes. I came legally, but it is not easy to keep that status because of the harshness of the law. Price: I am seen as a criminal because I was born in the country where there is no future for me. I have not seen my family for years. My beloved grandma and my dog passed away meanwhile... I could not be there. Staying here and having to go through all that is still worthed more than going home and living in the post-communist society which is not very different from what it was in 1989. My boyfriend never went to school, because of the war in his country. And he has the biggest heart ever (I am just teaching him how to read). His dad was shot in front of his eyes when he was 4. He remembers it. Never had a toy. Birthday presents - chicken soup. Just an example. If it was not for meeting me, he would have continued living in his simple macho world. Just as his friends. And all other illegals. It is not their fault, it is their country's. If you are sending them back home to improve their country's politics, you are very naive. Those countries are not like US. It is more complicated than that. Corruption. No justice. They know why they do not want to go back. Americans have no idea about what it is like. If you want to have an idea, get out. Travel. Educate yourself, and educate them. That's the only civilized way of common survival.
I just gave you two real examples. Two out of I do not know how many millions right now. You may like it or not, but just give it a good thought. All immigrants bring their culture with them, the good stuff and the bad stuff too. That's what made your country what it is today. Sooner or later, the illegals will become legals, at if not themselves, then through their children. If you deported them, you would change the pattern of the world and their lives. Towards worse. Who gives you the right to do that?

You say:

"I have known many illegal immigrant familes (sic) from Mexico and other South American countries, and they possess much better attributes than Americans, they are more united, they are humble, helping, and have the biggest hearts than any of us, even though we hate them so much, they are not hateful people by nature like us so they could never hate us."

I can only add to your thoughts, two words.

"And criminal"

I have no problem with immigrants. I live between two families of them and they are my neighbors, and my friends. BTW no one I know comes down harder on illegals than legal aliens who waited 11 years to come here and worked for another 7 years to get their citizenship.

When you place criminals at the front of the "get your citizenship here" line, you are kicking every immigrant, who obeyed the law, right in the crotch. That includes my grand parents and, no doubt some of your ancestors.

Why do bleeding hearts have so much trouble with the word, "illegal". It simply isn't that difficult of a concept.

Can you not generalize so much? Its clear from the two posts, neither being honest questions, that your agena is America<..... well pretty much everything. Agreed, there are alot of illigal immigrants just trying to do what they can for their families. Money, education for their children, a better life. There are also those taking advantage of the system. I welcom ANYONE who wants to come to this country and help it prosper. I do not welcome anyone who does not. We are well past the time of leechcraft (look it up).

If big government programs to help the starving and helpless masses are so great, why not start something in Mexico's government? Oh right, they can't afford it. They're budget is about half the size of Rhode Island's.... Illegal immigration is their problem, why should we be the ones to deal with it?

Too bad you think that all Americans HATE illegals. It simply is not true. We don't like people being here illegally. They are more than welcome to come here legally.
And, I happen to think that I have many great attributes, one of them is being a law abiding citizen. And I personally take offense to being compared to other people, and being told that I am consumed by a superiority complex, lack humility and am rated lower than an ILLEGAL alien. Sorry, the things you say are not the truth !!!!!!!!

Not where I live. The illegals here stand around and drink and make nasty comments to me to the point I can't be comfortable walking down my street. I live in a community full of illegals and my neighborhood is rampant with violent crime . I am stared at and made fun of every day. The older breed might have been humble and nice but these new ones that come in with gang ties and resentment for Americans are not nice. I haven't had one to help me yet.

if that is true why has their country after all these years done nothing with themselves? answer that and we do let people come here just come legal that's all why is that so hard for people to understand it seem's their great attributes lacks the ability to comprehend laws lol so your little speech on how crappy we are well that's funny as we help so many countries yet we are constantly slammed if we don't give everyone everything they want get in line and wait your turn!

Where did you come up with all this? Didn't you hear? We are doing smashingly well in the immigration category!

Your dissertation is based on the assumption that someone in this forum actually cares whether they are ready to "make nice" or not. You sound like the Dixie Chicks and their new song.

Have a nice holiday!

We pay for them at the expense of our own children and our own sick. Why should they hate us? Yet look at some of the questions on this board, because clearly some do.

And why don't you look up crime statistics vs. percentage of the population on illegals? I doubt you would believe it if I told you the statistics, but they aren't exactly hard to find.

However, you sound like the sort who would rather just shoot off insulting diatribes than uncover uncomfortable facts.

Sorry Milton ... they are breaking the law!! And they KNOW they are breaking the law! Does that mean anything to you? We're not discussing their warm hearts or anything else for that matter ... we're concentrating on the fact that they are here ILLEGALLY, and knowingly so! That should be rewarded, should it, because of their good hearts?? Hell man ... I have a good heart too ... should I stop paying my speeding tickets?? One law is as good as another, right? Break one, break them all ...
