yup, they sure can..they love it.you can give them apple pieces, ,raisins,peas ,any melon, crackers, just make sure the food is in bite sized pieces! : ) From my heart to yous!

I don't know about cantaloupe but they definitely can't have gummy bears. I learned that the hard way when I was a kid.

I know parakeets can. Not all fruits and veggies are safe though. Avocado, onions, and sesame seeds are just a handful of things humans can eat that are poisonous to our feathered friends. Check out Birdtalk magazine for more info.

Yes, almost all types of fruit and vegetables are great for pet birds. Stay away from avacados, pomegranet, and persimmons.

i just want to ask holly, what's wrong with pomagranite? my african grey loves them. they are seasonal so they only come out for a couple of months in the fall, but my grey eats them up and has no ill effects. so whats wrong with them? anyone?

Of couse it can. My cokatiel ate a lot of cantolpoe, it was his favorite! Well, if your bird doesn't want it, just pretend your eating it, and then he'll want to eat it.
