I got that email too, I checked it out on snopes.com, they have the scoop on urban myths. Here's the link http://snopes.com/food/warnings/butter.asp

I hope you haven't opened that email. I could be a bomb and if you do open it and it is a bomb then you may toast your computer. Just the title of the email sounds supicious to me. Margerine is fake. People in America and other countries have been eating that trash for years. I don't fool with the stuff myself. Hope you don't either.

I would have to say it's probably true. I watched an Oprah episode where they doctors were talking about the foods we eat and one of them said when things are not a pure, true food without a lot of additives, our body doesn't quite know what to do with it because it doesn't "recognize it." He said it's better off to eat real butter, in moderation, than any magarine or butter substitute, because your body has no problem digesting butter. It knows what it is. So, I've treated myself to real butter every since and not felt guilty about it.

It could be a fact but so what? The air we breath is one molecule away from being a deadly poison. But margarine isn't plastic and air isn't poison!

That's what I heard when we covered "Health and Wellness" in my massage class. Though knowing if it's true or not, it probably won't stop anyone from consuming it. Butter is better, though everything in moderation.

Sadly it's true. It's better to eat regular butter in moderation.
