My friend is being sent there and I would like to know what is going to happen to her? Is it a nice place? Has anyone been there? Please reassure me and our mutual friend this religious gooroo will not kill her or change her to being other than the person we know

The answer is it is a nice place. She is being sent there to change. She is going to be helped with her problems or addictions. She will live in a highly structured environment and taught responsibility and be held accountable for her decisions and actions. There is no religious "guru" there. This is a Christian school that will help her develop the best her she has ever been. Will she change? Yes, if she wants to overcome whatever issues sent her there. Will she be killed? Don't be stupid. You already know better than that.
The campus is beautiful and the staff are great people. (yes, I met several of them and know them to be quality people).
Life might be rough for her at first, but as she gets into the program she will develop her strengths and internal beauty and return to you as you have probably never seen her. . . happy and satisfied with life. . . and free of addictions.
You should be happy for her.
