Ok, I'm 15 and I have a bad memory and I have a hard time explaining things to people. It's not that I don't know what I'm explaining. It's just that I can't find the right words to put it in. Is that normal?

Do you read real books (novels, non-fiction, etc) every night? That could help keep your mind focusing on language while developing your vocabulary.

Sorry, about the bad memory. For the life of me why people always mention meds or go get help who knows. Can't anyone be serious. Sounds like what you went through was horrific. It is hard to talk, because in your mind you think people will judge you. You also know if you tell then you'll feel everybody will know and look at you. But do not worry this will pass. Totally. Don't worry about it. Try slowing down and concentrating on what you are saying. I used to have that problem. Imagine what you would want to know when you are trying to explain something to someone.

Are you on any medications? Sometimes that will do it. If not try taking magnesium. It is supposed to help with memory...
