Rush Limbaugh caught with Viagra prescribed to someone else
Associated Press

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Investigators were trying to determine Tuesday whether Rush Limbaugh violated a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case when authorities found he had a bottle of Viagra that was apparently prescribed to someone else.

Limbaugh, 55, was detained for more than three hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after he returned on his private plane from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Customs officials found Viagra in his bag, but his name wasn't on the prescription, Palm Beach County sheriff's spokesman Paul Miller said.

Limbaugh's lawyer, Roy Black, said the prescription was written in Limbaugh's doctor's name "for privacy purposes." The conservative radio host was released without being charged and investigators confiscated the Viagra, which treats erectile dysfunction.

Limbaugh joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn't believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: "I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it."

What, he has a "private plane" I hope he don't fly that plane. Considering the drugs he takes.

boogerman, nick fits ya well. Are you aware that Rush is a Actor? He also reads a script that is prepared for him by the same production company that the Jerry Springer show uses. It has also been shown that over half of what Rush says is a lie, the other half is a half truth, just like Bu$h he has no problem with lies. When you grow up you might have some facts. I have never even had a Ticket. I also have never got drugs illeagaly like Rush has a record for.

By the way the issue is not what drug, it is a issue of being on probation. It is also a issue of not being the owner of the drug. Now he must to prove he is the owner of the drug prescription.. That will implicate his Doctor in comitting a Felony, if the Doctor knew he was on probation.

Perfect American, the nick does not fit you at all. You hate Women? Get a clue, yes Rush is a Actor and yes he gets paid well, I don't hate him for that.
What you fail to grasp is Rush does not work, he is a Actor. I'll bet you also think Scooter and Cheney will not go to prison for Treason, since that crime will clog up the courts. Pay attention, the crime was not the Viagra, it was haveing a prescription that Rush did not own. While on probation from his other drug chearges, he made the deal to avoid jail, then did not keep his word. Fine example of being Godly. God bless you. God help Rush avoid hell for his lies.

Yes, he should go to jail. He was suppose to stay clean on any drugs for 18 months. He had pills that were not registered to him. If he was some poor young person who was not a conservative, he would have been in jail for his original crime. As a wonderful christen, what was he doing with Viagra when he wasn't married?

Do you really think the courts should be bogged down with trivial crap like viagra pills? The guy had the presciption filled in his doctors name, because if it ever got out that he was taking viagra, then it would become a liberal feeding frenzy, which is what you are doing.
You must surely have some type of infractions, for which you may or may not have been caught. Nobody is truly innocent, especially since your screen name doesn't begin with POPE__________.
And gee, Rush has his own plane. he worked for it didn't he?
John Travolta has his own plane, do you hate him also?
Good for Rush, having a great time in the Islands. I think it's great. Maybe he is tired of the American women who only want money and to be nasty bitches. How many times has he been married, and still can't find happiness with American women. God bless Rush Limbaugh!!!!!!!!!!!

Objectively speaking (I think) I believe his violation (if true) is not a prison offense. It may be a modest jail time offense due to the probation violation, but not much more than that. I'm not a Rush supporter, in fact believe him to be something of a buffoon, but that aside, his law violation is doubtful to rise to the level of prison.

Yes. I actually had a friend one time get charged with something similar. She went to the courthouse to talk to the DA about a traffic ticket and on her way in they searched her purse. She had a perscription but her bottle had burst so she put it in her son's empty bottle of something else...

She was actually freaking charged and not until court that she provided proof that she had a legit prescription, did they dismiss it.

So, why not him?

If I would be sent to jail for the same offenses, then he should be sent to jail for them -- if I wouldn't be, he shouldn't be. Who he is shouldn't matter. No person in this country is supposed to be any more or less above the law than anyone else.

No, if people like you, would allow him some privacy he would not need to have his doctor put it in his name. He is at that age that most men could just pick up a prescription. You meed to find other real issues.

Should Rush go to prison for Viagra? Really, it's not a narcotic. Some could argue that it's a stimulant (hahaha) but it's not as if he had demoral or morphine.
