I was talking to one of my guy friends on the phone, and he had to get off for a second, so he handed the phone to his friend and we got talking (there was an obvious connection) and he asked my name. We found out that he and I had been in elementary school together. ^_^ It was crazy. Sweet guy.

I met the guy I love in college. I was friends with his cousin and at the time he was still with his high school sweetheart. I thought he was a nice guy and we would go play basketball together a couple nights a week.
That's all it was for about a year or so, but then I lost track of him. We saw each other again right before graduation. We exchanged phone numbers and continued to call each other about once a week. We were in different parts of the country, but we kept in touch and developed a friendship.
He got a job on the East Coast one winter after months of searching. The following fall, I ended up in the same area of the country working. Since we were so close, we began hanging out with each other every few weekends or so. Eventually, it was every weekend. Then we came to the point where we both admitted our feelings for each other. We decided to try the relationship thing even though there was a chance our friendship would be lost if the relationship ended badly. Luckily, I haven't had to worry about that!

I was married at the time to a user, abuser, liar, and cheater. I had broken away from him emotionally for about a year and was planning to leave in about a month (at the time I would get paid and have the money to leave). I had gone to my best friends house to stay the weekend as her 18 year old son was graduating from high school. I also wanted to get away from the home situation and look for another place to live.
Her son graduated on Friday. On Saturday night, a friend of her family came over to see them. I am NOT one that can talk to or joke with guys easily after being hurt so bad for so long (I was with my hubby at the time for 20 long years and abused pretty much the whole time). But, within 10 minutes, I was able to joke around and talk with this guy. We spent most of the night talking, even after everyone else went to bed. That's how it was anytime I was able to stay for a couple of days (when I had the time off work).
When I left my husband the following month, Steve and I started dating (I had to stay with my friend for about 3 weeks). We fell in love and have been together since. He refused to move in with me until I was divorced. I left my ex in July and we were fully divorced in October. The courts screwed up and gave my ex my address (I have a restraining order on him), so I had to move fast. My landlord had a house that he wanted to rent out in another town (about 10 minutes away from where I lived), so Steve and I moved in together the beginning of November. We have been togeher for a year now and are more in love every day. :)

This is a strange one. I live in Korea and I make an English newspaper. While doing a story, I met this very talkative Korean lady who would not stop calling me. Koreans are natural match makers and she tried to set me up with this girl that lived in my part of town. The girl was very shy and declined my talkative friend's offer to meet and that was the last I heard of her.
Months later, on Christmas eve, I hung out with a bunch of couples and was feeling like crap but on my way home I decided to stop in and see my friend who owns a bar that caters to foreigners in Korea. When I walked in no one was there but my friend and these two Korean girls. So I started talking to them while I waited for the other people to return to the bar after caroling.
It turns out that the one girl lived near me. It turns out that that same girl knew that talkative friend... she was the girl that I was supposed to meet. We exchanged phone numbers and began meet more and eventually got together. It was the best Christmas present I ever received!

We were adults . I wouldn't recomend it for kids and even adults need to be very careful.
