It is different for everybody, we all have a different biochemistry. A rough guidline is (To lose weight, multiply your body weight by 10) (To stay the same, multiply your body weight by 15) (To gain weight multiply your body weight by 20)

around 1,000 just to keep your heart beating, and all that good stuff, and eating less than that will make you gain weight because your body goes into starvation mode and 'cuts corners' to use less calories.
You should get around 2,000 to mantain your weight.

on food lables it always says 2,000 so i would just go with that than again i know nothing about dieting and stuff
