I may be Pagan, but I will pray for her to get better. My grandfather has diabetes as well, but if she cheeks her blood sugar every day, and if she needs to takes insulin shots to keep the diabetes in cheek. My grandfather manages it by just watching what he eats, and he cheeks his blood sugar every day to make sure he is not putting his health in danger. I do not know how bad it is with your mother, but what she needs besides prayer is support and help from her family. I am adopted and live with my grandparents after a falling out with my dad, and I have changed a lot of my eating habits so that I do not tempt with foods that would cause his blood sugar to go hay wire. One suggestion I can give you is to replace all the sugar you would normally use with sugar substitutes like Sweet and Low or Splenda. This will help her control blood sugar, and still have sweet taste to the thing that are supposed to be sweet.

Prayer does work! I will keep her in my prayers. I have seen some good answers here (a few that were worthless as well) but diabetes can be managed with medication, proper diet and exercise and many people do live with diabetes today and when it is controlled, the person can lead a very healthy life. God be with you and your mother.

I will certainly pray for your Moms health. But, I wanted to add a word of encouragement as well. When we pray, we are petitioning the Father for something. When we read His word, It gives Him the place of talking to us. Take time to read healing scriptures and share them with Mom. Whatever is in His plan, He will prepare you on a daily basis. It can make the difference between a down day and a day full of joy and expectations. Your Mom is blessed to have a caring person as yourself that knows that God is in total control.

Prayer does work, and I will pray that she has favor and healing. Ask her to start working on some emotional healing issues that have been directly related to onset diabetes. Bitterness, unforgiveness and self dislike or hatred. Sounds out there, but there has been some phenomenal miracle healing surrounding dealing with this emotional pain. Blessings.

Eternal father I pray that you will enter into the life of your child right now and grant her healing and peace. Lord you are an on time God and you never fail, Lord we know everything happens for a reason and to the glory of your name. Lord I pray that you work miracles in this life so that others around her may see and glorify your name. We pray that you will direct her life and bring her closer to your throne, Lord touch and heal her body, as the scripture states by your stripes we are healed, so we claim healing right now in the name of Jesus as we wait on your timing not ours. Have it your way Lord and order her steps according to your word in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Maybe you should tell her to stick to her diet and she might get better? My grandma has diabetes and if she would stick to her meds and diet and excersize, then she wouldn't be having such a hard time with it. People need to stop relying on such an unreliable source and learn to help themselves. Of course I don't know the reason for your mother's diabetes, but many of the cases I have seen are in people who obviously didn't care enough about themselves to take care of their bodies. No offense if your mother is in great shape and took care of herself. But still, one should help oneself. Try a doctor, not a god. At least the doctor might help you.

YOU KEEP GOING FORWARD AND FULLY TRUST IN GOD TO HEAL YOUR MOTHER. AGAIN DONT GET DISCOURAGED BY THE RUDE AND MEAN PEOPLE WHO WRITE IDIOTIC MESSAGES..... SATAN WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN FOR A YOUNG LADY TO LOOSE HER FAITH SO HE CAN TAKE ALL THE GOOD RIGHT OUT OF HER.IF JESUS CAN RAISE LAZARUS FROM THE DEAD HE CAN HELP YOUR MOM AND IF JESUS CAN MAKE THE BLIND TO SEE HE CAN HEAL YOUR MOM, IF....WALK ON WATER....GET THE POINT.....

Diabetes isn't dangerous if you manage it propery. My grandfather has had diabetes for about 10 years and he's just as healthy as he was 10 years before he got it.
