He usually sends messengers or gives us signs in our life or sometimes He could give us a sign in a dream like what happened to Saint Joseph. If we meditate in silence we can sometimes hear Him speaking, not as an audible voice but as a silent voice speaking to our heart and giving us a deep sense of peace. Test the spirits, and if it contradicts Christian scripture and tradition, then it is not of God.

The question is, how do you think He's talking to you? If you hear an audible voice definitely pray hard about it b/c something like that is possible, but not probable.
As for feeling the Spirit move, that's very normal. Just pray and read God's word, (aka the Bible) and He will guide you. If you'd like I can give you some Scripture for you to look up when you're seeking God's guidance.
God Bless You!

Excerpt from "Experiencing God" by Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King:
God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
The testimony of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is that God speaks to His people. In our day, God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit. He uses the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church (other believers). No one of these methods of God's speaking is, by itself, a clear indicator of God's directions. But when God says the same thing through each of these ways, you can have confidence to proceed.
In other words, verify that what you are hearing from God is coming from him by checking it against the Bible and other believers. If it's something you feel he speaks in your heart during prayer, then double-check that it doesn't in any manner contradict with the Bible. If it doesn't, you can probably be pretty sure that it's him. In another book ("Waking the Dead" by John Eldridge), the author also touches on this topic when he mentiones several incidences where he thinks God is talking to him - or is waiting for God to talk to him - and then decides to chalk it up to his own overactive imagination or aggressive wishing (only to discover later that it really was God talking to him). But the fact of the matter is, God does speak that way, and maybe we will think we're losing our mind sometimes when we hear it. That doesn't make it any less valid. Just try, like stated above, and check it with the Bible, and even go to other believers if you'd like feedback on it. They will be able to help you realize if it truly was from God or if it was simply craziness on your part, if you're that doubtful.
Good luck!

God does not talk to anybody just like that. One would have to be extremely good, in all sense of the word an d yr world , know the word of God to perfection, and be favored really by God in order for some thing like that to happen.
It has not happened in many years , so maybe you ought to consider a trip to a doctor if you think God is talking to you.
Many Christians think that God speaks to them. And i find these hard to believe. Not that it doesnt happen, but God doesnt just show up to a sinner. No matter what little sin , God is so righteous he is the THE ALMIGHTY CREATOR OF ALL AND i mean who are we ??? compared to HIM? THAT WE'D GET VISITED BY GOD IN REAL LIFE? Unless we were like Moses I 'd say the probability of this taking place is slim.
However, let's say that you are being talked to b y OU R LORD GOD.
What is he saying t o you? good tihngs or bad?
is he telling you you must kill someting or someone? is he telling you good things?
There is somethng called sub conscious, and that voice can speak to us too. That may lead to some ppl thinking its God speaking to them. But nope its not. It's our good and bad conscience talking to us.
that , if indeed it is that, is not loosing yr mind. but if you think yhou are loosing yr mind "visit a psychiatrist" pls.
There is today, a war of spiritual, a spiritual warfare taking place and very real though.
Maybe an evil might be talking to you so you have to be careful abou t it too. The devil mixes enough truth in his evil ways to attract people and then do them in. and mess all fo r you. I am sure you hve seen the devil at work. WE have it all around in the USA. Iraq is but one example.
People i n death row, skid row, heanious crimes, desrespect to family and precious moral standards that are gone in today's world.
Evil is definetely here on earth, and it can talk, to anybody so beware of this one. If you need to start reviewing yr spiritual life now is the time tto do it more than ever. The only way to combat the evil is to be WITH CHRIST.
If you are a Christian you have all the weapons in the world to fight evil. If you are not, I'd consider looking and studyign the word of God and saving yourself for eternal life.
So you dont loose yr mind, educate yourself and fight whatever demons may come to yr life or for anybody's life.
This is my advice to anyone. Not just to answer yr question.
People that loose their minds, dont go asking if they have lost their minds, by the way. So if this was regarding yourself now you have answers. If its a genera l question, you also have answers.

Interesting question, but even as the very poor Christian that I am, I have known in my heart when God was speaking to me. On the single occasion that I felt God was speaking to me, I acted on what I believed he told me and it was very much the right thing to do and I have been blessed with a wonderful wife and family as a result of listening.

God talks to people in many ways but it's never loudly or to be heard directly by the human ear.
He talks to us through our conscience, our spirit, our heart. He talks to us as we sleep and dream. He talks to us through other people and through the gifts and challenges we receive.
If you hear a loud booming voice like in the movies, you will need to visit your therapist. Something is definitely wrong with that.
Claim quiet time to listen to your inner voice - that is God speaking to you.

Paul once said if I'm out of my mind it is for the lord. but if I'm sane it is for you.
Gods ways are greater than humans. who is to say what he would ask us to do ,But know this he sent his son to die for you.
I ask you how big is your faith. And do you think After doing some thing God asked you to do.
That devil would come trying to trip up your faith he would probably Evan try to take credit laughing and saying he tricked you. Stand with faith it continues forever.

Do you think God is so confused that he would make you loose your mind? God is not the author of confusion. For example.....
