I feel that if they were born here, they should be able to stay only if they have one US born or naturalized parent, but the illegal immigrant parent should be deported. That deported parent can then apply from his native country and go about becoming legal, same as anyone properly immigrating. If the child was born here and neither parent is legal, then they should all be deported unless the child has a US born or naturalized other family member to be kept with here, and only if that family member agrees to assume full financial obligations to that child. If the parents opt to take their US born child with them on deportation, that child should be able to return to the USA when he/she reaches the age of majority and can then apply through standard procedures to bring his parents back legally, if he chooses. If the children were not born here and both parents are illegal immigrants, the children should be deported along with the parents. Lastly - I believe the anchor baby law should be stricken from the books, immediately, as it is grossly outdated and encourages illegal immigrants to try to take advantage of it.

DEPORT!!!! If children are born to illegal parents they should NOT be allowed to stay. Parents take responsibility for their own actions. It was the parents choice to have a child knowing they were breaking our immigration laws. What mother would just leave their child? Deport the parents..... Deport their children.

Where do you think the original inhabitants of this land North America came from? There are lots of theories. Don't look now but check it out. The numerous tribes of indigineous people way back when, fought tooth and nail with each other for hunting and water rights etc. They were brutal with each other. Dominating other tribes for their own benfit and survival. USA is just one in a long line of humans that dominated the USA territories.
We really don't know where humans came from into the USA territory currently but there are good evidences that the original humans came from the European/African or even Asian continents. So stop with this Native American stuff. It is human to dominate and challenge. And humans are no better than animals in the way they do it either.
We US Americans are being challenged right now. We are just doing what every other red blooded human has done for centuries. Protecting our own turf. If you don't, "whoever" thinks they can get away with it is going to come in and knock us off.
We are the most liberally attendant culture in the world as far as legal immigration. That's why we are having this problem. Time to get real and decide if we want a bunch of Illegal invaders to take over our country. Or to put things back in order.
Now that that's settled. Anchor babies were OK for a while but the numbers and control issue has to be re established. Stop it for a while.
If the current crop of anchor babies want to be US citizens, fine. When they are legal adults, they can be formal US citizens. That is assuming they leave the US with their ILLEGAL parents until such time as the parents are inducted legally or the child wants to return to the US and has become of legal age as an adult. or has a US citizen, who will be responsible for them until that time they are legal adults. In which case they can stay and live here ...without their (illegal) non citizen parents. That's fair and just and not cruel and doesn't seperate families by force.

If they are illegal they should be deported.....AND....if their parents are illegal....they should be forced to leave with their parents.

Its become almost impossible to get a decent public education in So. California. The education system was created for citizens.....its unfair that children who are citizen have to sit in overcrowded classrooms, where many of the student don't speak English well, making it even more difficult for the teacher to instruct a class? I could go on and on about the school system and how screwed up it is because of illegal immigration.

I also think its unfair that the citizens of California voted in favor of Prop. 187 years ago, saying that children had to be citizens in order to go to school, people had to be citizens to be treated at hospitals, and receive any public aid and some over liberal court over-ruled it.

Do you mean children who are born here and are US citizens but their parents are illegal? They need to stay with their parents. If the parents are deported they will need to go with them. Families should not be separated.

Deport....with parents......or to parents/relatives.....I have been called to my 16 yr old son's school....some students, illegal aliens, where trashing America in their native tongue, Spanish, they did not think my son could understand them he turned around and told them in their native language that if they did not like it here GO HOME. I was the only parent called to school. It was ok to trash our country use foul language but not ok to defend our country with the words go home? So yeah deport.

I think that families should not be separated, when you think about it every single person in this country has an ancestry of illegal people that came from england africa and many other places . why deny others something that was not denied to you. People who are like that are hypocrites that cant learn from their past . Because when you stop to think about it this land right fully belongs to the indian tribes that were here before us
