Its my belief that America being one of the youngest countries in the history of the world has not yet earned the right to turn its back on immigration, illegal or not. It hasnt been that long since this nation was created, and it was created trough stealing, lies, deceit, and murder. murrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr!!!

America is not the exclusive domain of one people, it is the refugee camp of the world, why should it change now? just because your ancestors were lucky why not everyone else.

Milton Egbert is a pround American, but not yet deserving of taking a stance on illegal immigration, because this was never my ancestors land, and they murdered innocent people and stole their land, not that long ago!!!!!!!!!

Abraham, what could be more illegal than murdering weaker people with guns, raping their women and killing their children, just to take over their country?

First of all, I'd like to mention that througout history, nations were built by conquest and disposition of the people who originated the use of a given habitat. Early man was like the animals and foraged and hunted and migrated until the group found suitable ground for the lifestyle they desired. Agriculture, though old, is relatively new to the human species.
America is in fact the exclusive domain of the decendants of the struggling emigrants and nation builders who are our ancestors. Yes our ancestors did in fact dislodge the "native" inhabitants of this continent but we're talking about 600 to 150 years ago. Back then it was a matter of survival and there were so few "natives" per square mile of territory it seemed right to them. One cannot apply 21st century thought to the proccess. It's easy to enjoy the rights and freedom our forfathers fought and died for. It's hard to defend those same rights when vast numbers of immigrants want to come here for the benefits without the hardship of earning those benefits. Why can't they just follow the rules? What's wrong with obeying the laws? You don't remember a place called Ellis Island, do you? Millions of immagrants had to pass through customs and be investigated before entering this nation. Why should the hispanics be treated any different?

I don't know for sure ... but I wouldn't be surprised.
Given the fact that I am usually embarrased to be human, being American doesn't change much in that regard.
I will say, in defense of what it means to be human.
We US Americans have (had) ours, and we ain't going to roll over easy and let some Juany Come Lately's take it away from us, ...as they come here illegally and try and get theirs.
We are trying too hard to be nice on this and we need to put down the hammer and get real. NO more illegal immigration. Particularly from the country of Mexico.
We will find those who are not legal and send em' back to their own countries.

ok you think no other country has built itself on stealing, lies, deceit, and murder. where would Mr. Egbert be today without ancestors who fought for this land ? yes we are blessed, but i must remind you we take in people we just want people to do it legal we have a right to say who comes in and how many. mexico is not a poor country why should we pay for mexico's corruption why Milton why ? and why cant they do it legal their is no excuse ! if you stay on this board long enough you will hear them tell you they don't want to be Americans they just want to stay illegal for many reasons no taxes, and they want to stay true to mexico, they defend mexico ,they love mexico .most do not want to pledge allegiance to America. when it looked like the whole scamesty thing was going to happen they were still on here bitching saying things like were not happy because we have to learn English ,and there is going to be a patrolled border you figure that out !

The immigrants currently coming through the borders are here to gain financially. What better way to do that than moving to the richest, most powerfull country in the world. Remember, this was not the case when puritans, englishmen, germans, italians, and irishmen immigrated to this country. They were trying to build a great country; not join an already mighty one.

I disagree with your opinion, but you are free to have it, of course.

Is the history of any of the countries where illegal immigrants originate better?

I doubt it.

We subsidize education and services for the poor. We have a right to say how many and who we want to pay for. If we can't provide decent services to our own people, I don't think we can share with so many millions, myself.

Americans can be classified as that and much more, but so are all other nations on the planet. The question is why does everybody still come here?
