How do you justify the killing and torture in the Qur'aan? As a Christian how you an allow the Qur'aan to belittle Jesus to just an everyday prophet?
Makes me sick.

Congratulations with all my heart! I am so glad to hear of your conversion! For the ignorant people who had commented earlier, I must inform them that Islam is indeed the religion with the greatest number of converts. This doesn't happen because people are "forced" or "have to." This is only possible if people research on their own and discover what a miracle Islam really is! By the way, be careful: "when I read the translation of the holly Qur'aan and the words of Prophet Mohammad showed..." People might think that means that the Quran is the words of the Prophet. Remember that the Quran isn't the words of the Prophet, but instead the words of Allah. That is a common misconception that we are trying to make non-muslims realize. The words of the Prophet are known as traditions or hadiths. Once again congratulations and don't hesitate to contact me if you need to.

Congratulations! You have taken a step that many religious people fear to take. It is a simple step and it will open your mind if you continue on the path. I urge you to not stop at the Qur'an though. Continue with an open mind to read the Hindhu Rig Veda, and the teachings of Buddha and Bahalu, as well as Kahlil Gibran and other great philosophers and prophets. It will open your mind to the truth and beauty of Allah, and his nature even more.
Again, Congratulations!

A good Muslim will only read the Koran in Arabic.
I have read passages in the Koran that advocate killing infidels and apostates.
In the earlier days of Islamic imperialism, they were not too proud to borrow good ideas and technology from other people they came in contact with.
Now they resist ideas, and their people suffer due to the lack of progress.
I feel sad for you.

I don't....really don't understand how someone can be so selfconfident that he/she can make such sarcastic comments over your decision without ever knowing what you're really talking about. I congratulate you, not for choosing Islam, but for being curious and not jumping to such horrible conclusions that others might have. I congratulate you deeply and wish you best for your spiritual journey.

IMO, Mohammed did not have a direct line to "God" (nor did anyone else). He was a man gifted with literary skills -- one who possessed a great talent for writing. Whatever works for you, though. Congratulations, I guess.
