Diamond Head--hike to the top. The Dole Pineapple factory (also a good place to get souvenirs). You mentioned Pearl Harbor, but that is a must do. One thing you might like is the bus pass--it is very inexpensive, when I was there it was $10 for 4 days. Visit the North side of the island. There is a big hobby show at the stadium where you can get inexpensive gifts.

We stayed at a rankety place on Waikiki and it rained buckets on us but we still had a mostly good time. Just know that Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays. We didn't know that and we never made it back to see it as that was the only day it was nice enough.

If you hike up Diamond Head, make sure you take enough water so you can wash your hands at the top and bottom of the stairs. The rails were rusty and we didn't have enough. It's an awesome view from up there so take enough film and if you have them, binoculars as you might see whales breaching from up there.

Don't plan on going in the water at Waimea Bay but you should stop to watch the surfers. They get some awesome waves up there.

We got rained out of the Polynesian Cultural Center but you should go do that. And go see the pineapple plantations while you can. In 2 years they plan on stopping production in Hawaii. It costs too much to grow them there. Don't get suckered into buying pineapples there...they cost a fortune.

Take a light jacket or sweater out with you because the weather changes at the drop of a hat. Some of those cheap rain ponchos from WalMart would be perfect. They are small and you can whip them out at a moment's notice. We really needed them and didn't have anything like that along with us. Rains just come and go all day long. Best to be prepared.

You'll have a great time!
