I've had dreams about tornadoes since childhood, I was in two houses struck by them before I was 10, and later had dreams where I was unable to move to get away from them, accompanied by intense fear.

Today, tornadoes appear in my dreams as symbols of change or threatening situations, always when I'm under extreme stress.

Symbols have different meanings to different people, you'd need to discuss the dream with an analyst who has an extensive knowledge of your background to get an exact interpretation.

Tornado is a violent storm in nature, and it may represent violent emotional storms in your dreams. If you have reoccurring tornado dreams consider the emotional changes in your life and also the amount of anger and rage that you may be currently experiencing. Tornadoes could also represent disruptions and upsets in you immediate environment and specific or current issues that may be overwhelming
