So many are so focused on what the future holds both materially and spiritually as well. It is not ours to try to know and understand God's plan because He specifically tells us that no one knows the day or the hour. It is our job as Children of God to live each day "the present" (it is the present because each day is a gift from God) to the best of our ability and trusting in God for all things...this includes the future. When we get off into the future, we lose precious time from today.

Last answer states it ... look at what's happening! Actually it started the day we are told Cain decided to kill his brother. I don't actually lend much credence to the bible as a factual account, but there is a lot of wisdom and allegory to reflect upon. Cain and Abel, are more significant of the nature of man, up to today! So since, despite the fact the we all know that killing your brother is wrong ... it seems to be going on, and as time has advanced so has our skill and talent to kill better and more. So it will be a matter of time before it comes down to apocalyptic scales. That is of course unless? ......

It may start before!
The National Id act will begin in 2008, unless we stop it.
Without this ID, we will not be able to buy or sell. It will be a forerunner to the mark of the beast.
The Jewish Temple must be built first, though.

All I know is that there's a meteor aimed DIRECTLY for California that will hit us in something like 2017, and basically we're all doomed. Because once that hits- it's like... a really, really bad case of nuclear winter. Times ten. Times ten. Times a hundred-thousand. Hopefully, humanity will survive, but it'd take a few million years...

No one knows. The Bible states that it will come as a thief in the night. Anyone who says they know when it will be, is a liar and a false prophet. Even Jesus did not know when He would return while He was here on earth.

I think, just from the way the world is going, it will be far sooner than that, and I think the Rapture could be within a couple months from now, so don't get too comfortable here.

Only God knows when he will send his son home to call his children. The dead in Christ shall rise and meet him in the air. He will take his children home to heaven to live forever. Be ready for it whenever it shall be. Repent and accept him as your savior.

Jesus told His followers that the son didn't even know the day nor the hour but only the Father did. If Jesus doesn't know, then how will we know?
