Some Catholics are calling thesmelves "liberal Catholics", while others are calling themselves "conversative Catholics". Aren't we all suppose to be one in Christ, one in heart and mind? Isn't the Catholic Church suppose to be One?

I don't call myself a liberal Catholic or a conversative Catholic. I am neither a right wing or a left wing Christian. I am just plain Catholic.

Catholics are actually allowed to and encouraged to hold a diverse view of opinions and political beliefs AS LONG as those beliefs are within the scope of the Catholic Faith. Some are not, such as many of the tenants of liberalism, progressivism, modernism, communism. However, democratic, republican, monarchist, etc. are all welcomed views.

Catholicism is about a unity of plurality. It is very diverse, as a living body should be, and offers multiple solutions to the problems that we face while on our earthly pilgrimage.

Being Catholic and being Christian are two different things. Catholicism is a human response to a Christian belief, and as such subject to human response (liberal/conservative/or like you, middle of the road)

All religions have a way of branching off into subsections, it's human nature to have an opinion against the norm.

I don't think the labels are political at all. Liberal and Conservative aren't necessarily wrapped up in politics, it's just a way of saying "we are more accepting" or "we are more traditional"

I am Catholic. I couldn't agree more with you. It is part of the problem with the Catholic church now. Much of it began with the introduction of the Charismatic Catholics. Good question.
