If you wouldn't go to hell, what's the point in ever asking for forgiveness? What's the point in repenting ever in life?

You can't have both. Either you ask for forgiveness and go to heaven or get killed by surprise and go to hell

One is saved by believing, reppenting, and responding obediantly to the gospel to the best of his ability. We are lost if we don't repent (believe and are baptized - Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38). We will be judged not just on our dying moment, but also all of the opportunities we pass up. If you are capable to read this on the internet, one could conclude you are able to believe and obey the gospel (now). If you refuse, and are killed the next moment, you are judged not because you ran out of time, but because you didn't take advantage of the time you had. Remember, we are never promised the next moment.

You should live a life in righteousness. You wouldn't have to worry about the end if your life was up to code with the Lord. All you have to do is Ask Jesus into your heart and follow him. Ask for his help to rectify the rest. He will be there and you won't have to worry about not been ready or forgiven. You won't have to be afraid of death because dying in God is Gain.

For those who truely come to god in the Way He proscribes They are saved for all eternity.... ALL Of the Christian Faith still sin... All are mortal... But we do confess our sin and are forgiven...if as you say it is sudden, and this happens all the time... Yes, those who are truly saved are truly saved for all eternity regardless if they have not had time to ask forgivness for the latest sin... It will be deducted from whatever rewards they have in store in Heaven... But they will be in heaven still.

I am not God so I dont know the answer. But I will tell you one thing....I wouldnt want to waste my life in the hopes that I have one split second to repent before I die. I enjoy Loving God. I dont do it to get to heaven. I do it because it is the joy of my heart to love him who first loved me.

I personally don't think so. I think if your bad or good we all die and go to one place. I don't know if you believe in psychics but I have read and seen "John Edward in person so many times and I own all of his books. He has one it is called "If God Were the Sun." I have read this book so many many times. The best book in the world. It explains life, death and all the packaging that goes with it. At the time of reading it I was extemely ill and they thought I wouldn't make it.I still have the book and I still read it over and over. It made me not afraid to die and to face death with pride and dignity. Read it .......You will enjoy it.

Believing in Heaven or Hell is childish, there is no heaven or hell. The real heaven or hell is in this world.
