I agree! I'm 28 and got married last year (see, it fits right into your equation) but no, we haven't started having kids yet - in fact, we're not even sure we want any. Hubby is 36. It seems everywhere we go, there are mothers with 1,2,3 or more kids by their sides, in their arms, in strollers...they are everywhere! I definitely know what you mean.

I don't know why people run off and have kids right away. I have been with my bf for 6 years and we just bought a house together, all of our friends and family say its time to have kids, but we don't see how its time we are young and have plenty of time, don't we? I think so. I will wait until I am about 30, that way I can have fun and get all the stuff I can do with out kids out of the way because unlike my parents I want to include my children in everything that I do.

I'm sure your perspective depends on the age and values of the crowd you are running with. If you are in your mid-twenties and run with a group of people who are commitment-minded, you'll certainly feel that way.

My bet is that there are a lot of career-minded guys in their late-thirties who'd say it seems like everyone is getting divorced! LOL

Not at all. But it does feel like this place is swarming with 12-year-olds. I need some kind of insecticide to deal with that problem.

Ummmm...that's how life goes on. People fall in love, get married, have children. That's everyone's purpose in life, it's called reproduction.
