If you want to keep your girlfriend, tell her that her friend is cute, but not as cute as she is. Or don't say anything.
If you want to lose your girlfriend, complimenting her friends is not a bad way to go about it.

It depends on how long you two have been together. If your girlfriend is secure in how you feel about her, it should not be a problem. If she is insecure at all she will definitely not appreciate your comment about her friend or any other female.

no, because than she will start acting funny when y'all all is around each other. so keep it to yourself. it will make her feel like you rather be with her friend and that's not good.
you shouldn't be looking at her friend in that way anyway.
