How much drinking will be involved? Seriously, I am planning a wedding also and have been watching a lot on TLC about weddings. They had some info on this subject and there were guests that were asked if they enjoyed these dance and every single one said no. Try something different if you want a group dance. Besides that, I dont think anyone will miss them if they are not there.

I was a mobile DJ for 10 years and both of them were must have's for almost every wedding reception.
The Hokey Pokey was obligatory, and the Chicken Dance was a total crack me up, so play both and enjoy.

Neither really, I nixed em both at my wedding, but if I HAD to choose, I would choose Chicken Dance. Hokey Pokey drives me nuts.

Chicken Dance.......they both suck but the chicken dance is a shorter song

Huh?! gotta go w/ da chikies its short and no one eva duz it right, so it can get hilarious which helps after being serious the whole day at a church or chaple or mosque or shrine or woteva da hell else I missed.

Chicken... no one ever gets it right and it makes lots of pople laugh. We did it at our reception and the faster it got the sillier everyone looked and the louder everyone laughed.
