Here in Houston it can cost up to $17 for a drink in Downtow or upscale Hotel bars, at least that is the most expensive I've seen. However, most places are about $6-10

It depends on where you are, unfortunately. I can cost 5-10 usd in the midwest and up to 15 usd on either coast.
