Legal? No.
I have some other reasons I consider, like how long we went without enforcing our laws while we gave them so many benefits they had conflicting messages as to whether they were welcome. I also have a real doubt the American people are willing to sit through year after year of major deportation of the 'good sort' once we have border security, internal enforcement and dismantle the magnets to bring more illegals here.
However, those are not legal arguments.
Because of them, however, I think we need to limit any guest worker program and make sure employers cover education and benefits for their guest workers. I don't think most of those here will end up leaving, one way or another.

It depends on interpretation of the law and by whom.
What separates the illegals from everyone else? Do you really know? Or do you just assume that you know what it takes to get into the USA and how many people have done things the "right" way... What if your grandparents were illegal and they tried to do a retro-active deportation on you? Guess what - It happens to some people.
We have certain "inalienable" rights...
How do you interpret the constitution?
How do you interpret the base of the Statue of Liberty?
How do you interpret the Declaration of Independence?
Some people see it as everyone except the native Americans were "illegal" at some point... we have to make allowances for LEGAL immigration before we can concentrate on illegals.
Personally, I think the whole immigration thing is a big fooey put up to propel certain politicians and their viewpoints into the offices that they desire... it was never an issue until last month or so...
It's crazy the way we all assume that there are these cartoon-like people creeping across some imaginary line on their tippy-toes in the middle of the night... Many "illegals" don't even know that they fit into that category - they are missing a little check-box on a piece of paper somewhere and now they can be "sent back" to a country that is more foreign to them than the US.
And by the way, English is not the "American Language"... it is the language of England. Why don't we ALL just learn Cherokee or Navajo if we are so concerned about "foreign languages". Those are our NATIVE languages...

No, none WHATSOEVER. No legal or moral justification. If some illegals are here to escape cruelty in their own countries, we have procedures for properly defined refugees and if they can fit the qualifications for this, then they should apply. Otherwise, no squatters rights and the antiquated anchor baby loophole should be stricken from the books asap. Deport ALL illegal immigrants, immediately, no exceptions. We can't let the sob stories sway us. Everyone has a sob story. Ship them back and let them apply through the correct procedures or make changes in their native countries so they don't feel the need to leave it.

Squatters rights? No! Anchor babies ... well, we COULD deport the parents ... keep the babies and put them up for adoption if they don't want to take the babies with them back home ... oh what an uproar that would cause ... but unless we do something about that idiotic law, we won't be able to do a damn thing about the whole sorry mess!

No, they have no legal justification for staying in America. I also think the argument of them picking fruits and vegetables is a non issue. If they are starving, it should not be America's legal justification to provide them food and shelter. Their home countries should be doing this for them. I have a solution also for picking produce, our government should just give every produce farmer a machine that can do this and cut out the illegal middleman.

I beleive that the Immigrants who came here the right way by patitioning and going through the right process should be allowed to stay but the ones to get deported are the ones who came here ILLEGALLY BROKEN A LAW should go back and stand in line just like everyone else.

How can they have any LEGAL justification if they're ILLEGAL to begin with?
If they want to be here so badly, make them fill out the paper work, learn English, etc. like the millions of legal immigrants who do so each year.

I know is illegal but most of those people do not have anything to eat in their own country, is very difficult to give an opinion, as humanity is involved. Most of the work they do , the ones who are born in the country do not want to do. Some of them are living already a very long time in USA.

zz- you do no longer comprehend what you're speaking about. i'm American Indian and maximum persons American Indians do unlike being observed as close by individuals. have you ever heard of a tribe observed as the Lakota close by individuals or the Cheyenne close by individuals. No it really is often the Lakota Indians etc... as far as what those professional-illegals use as excuses, all people with undemanding experience is popular with better and would tell how lame they are. i became chatting with My youthful new child and they were asking questions, We were speaking about their excuses or perhaps they realized what became incorrect with the picture they strive against to color. i'm no longer fooled by utilizing something any this kind of illegals attempt to pull or their bogus excuses. they have already eroded our economy. those human beings in spite of if provided an amnesty does no longer stick with regulations. Sorry they are too use to the criminal methods. and that i really accept as true with what you're saying about being a criminal of their homestead international places. Why else would they pay thousands of greenbacks to be smuggled right here and positioned themselves and their children into the palms of different criminals.

Hi, the conflict with the issue of illegal immigrants staying in America is that they do the jobs that many Americans wouldn't want to do and they do it for low pay. For ex: many of the illegal immigrants pick fruits- which is a hard low paying job and without them there would be no one to do it and we would have no fruit.
