Not sure. Obviously the bun makers and hot dog makers aren't in sync. But you can get Koegel hotdogs in packages of 8 and they taste way better, anyways.

To make you ask questions like that, but where I used to work hot dogs were sold in packs of 20,40,or 50 and the buns were sold in packs of 12.

the adult males on the buns corporation are out to waste you funds, so that they make you purchase 2 packs of buns in case you opt to have adequate for each sizzling canines. that's rotten American industry.

umm because hotdogs are more likely to fall between the grill bars, so they have extra so everybodys happy.....
