There is currently a bill which would, in effect make it impossible to play poker online. I think it's none of their business, what do you thinK?

The short answer is yes, the government does indeed have the right to make gambling online illegal. In fact, it is already illegal technically. The reason the House is considering H.R. 4777 is because it's been indicated that the present law might be construed as out of date and not pertaining to the Internet in a court of law.

We may not like it, but they do have the right. If you don't like the way an elected official is performing, make sure you don't vote for him or her in the future. Also encourage others to do the same. We get the government we deserve.

Like anything else with the federal government, money is an issue. If online gambling could be regulated and taxed with certainty, it would stand a good chance of being legal.

If an American citizen is doing something on American soil, the government does have a right to regulate it. Whether the govt decides to or not is their business.

They government will find a way to get taxes. In Ct we have casino's - and church bingo's that the State government gets tax revenue from. COME ON from Old Ladies playing Bingo how desperate can you get lol
