Im dog sitting and he won't eat ANYTHING he won't touch it at all...?

im dog sitting and i've been doing it for like 5 days now and hes not eating anything! what do i do?

hes just a little depressed cuz his owners are gone give him time he'll get hungry enough and he will eat

Its separation anxiety. He will come around...let his owners call him on the phone (no joke) it will make him feel better, I do this to my dog all the time when my mom dog sits. Good luck...make sure he doesn't get dehydrated, and that he is drinking plenty of fluids. Offer him some soft dog food from a can, and gradually mix it with his normal food and then completely take it away from him so that his bowel movements do not get runny and does a no no on the carpet..

Give the dog a walk first, lots of dogs won't eat if they have not eliminated recently.

First - how old is he and are you sure that he is not sick.
Second, and I know that this sounds funny, but it works.
Buy some cottage cheese and mix two heaping tablespoons in the food.
Stir it in, and the dog usually eats it.

The dog is stressed and should eat if you boil some chicken breasts and mix in with his food

some people have them trianed to eat out of there hands by small peices or they just miss there owners. like small peices of bologna,hotdogs.
