it sounds like you may be trying to say more.... carefree.

I have an ex husband who is so cautious and has more phobias than ants on honey. he makes you crazy. you will never be able to change his annoying phobias . so try to just go with his flows and don't let him pull you in to his extreme carefullness. he probably has this deep rooted and maybe some counciling will help. if he will go for that! chances are he won't.

Why on earth would you want your father more careless? Fathers and mothers are supposed to be the ones who care about things, who look out for you and who makes sure you are making the right choices and who keeps you safe. Be careful what you ask for.....

why would you want your father to be more careless? I grew up without a father. I wish I would have had one to care about me. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to ask. Sincerely, Penny

you can't teach a father to be more careless. usually it's the other way around.

If your dad is too uptight, try talking it through with him. This take works the best because you are patient, level-headed, and will thoroughly explain to him how you feel. This approach should let him truly see why he should settle down and be more lenient - but remember, he only cares about you.

In what way do you wish him to be more care less
do you mean
care-free == you can help him all you can, so he has less worries

Care-less=
does he care too much
( does he worry about what you do and watch your every move )

This will take time , for him to ease off you, if you are very young ..
Later you will understand his fear for your safety and realise why he feels like he does
It i can be hard to grow up .

Why on earth would you want to bring down those who are supposed to lift us up? You didn't tell much so good answers are gonna be kinda hard.

Be more responsible and mature. That will make him care maybe a little less caring but he will never really stop.
