Christians like scratching the surface but they get uncomfortable when Atheists like me start digging deep into the matter

God works all things out for those that love Him. So...if I get fired, yes, God would be helping someone else that loves God. OR I got a job once where there were too many "coincedences" (about 10) that told me that God wanted me to have the job. I became a Christian 6 months later. God used it all to bring me to Him.
God doesn't cause people to get fired, people make choices to jeopardize their job. If they get downsized, then if they love God, He will work it out for good, if they are faithful & believe. My job was cut to where I was only working 50%, but God didn't "bring" me a job, instead, He showed me how to live on less money and I was able to raise my kids better and decrease some stress in my life. because of the extra time at home.
God doesn't hypnotize the person that hired her, but sometimes, He can make circumstances seem like the person knows that they'll be the best person for the job. One thing that happens to me when I pray for God to help me with something, for instance getting a job. I will pray....I will go into the interview with more confidence that God is in control of whether I get the job or not. I won't come across as desperate....I will come across confident. I will come across articulate, I won't cuss, etc. I try to live as a good example for God, so it comes out in my demeanor, anyway. The person may be struck at how calm & confident I am and end up hiring me.
I hope I answered all your questions. Just so you know, it's probably not wise to make assumptions about all Christians. My mind gets way too deep. I do more than scratch the surface. I question God & my faith all the time. I always am satisfied with the answer. Once you have the Holy Spirit, truely have the Holy Spirit, you do get understanding that you didn't have before that.

Christians like scratching the surface but they get uncomfortable when Atheists like me start digging deep into the matter
.....ahh modesty

and the bad news is that i am an atheist :(

James P > you in the best case are the worst pathetic hypocrite christian (compasion ? tolerance ? empaty?)

lol ... people like you made christianity what it is today ... they adopted things they liked and simply rejected the rest. Now you claim yourself to be a "christian" by ignoring even the fundament of this religion witch is "universal love".You think that only by sustaining some nice ideeas without practice them you are superior over those who do it the other way around.
In the first place i didn't noticed any insult in the question of the guy who started and even so... wait "turn the other cheek" sounds familiar my "good christian"? I can also quote something about who have the right of "throwing rocks" and carry on but i waisted allready too much time with you.

God says that you can gain the favor of people. Those who follow him are blessed with favor. So if you pray for favor, and get it, you've gotten just that. Favor. Qualities that are favorable that stick out in the mind of the person you're interacting with.

Sometimes people do things because they happen to like you. They notice things they might not have noticed otherwise. Traits and qualities. Its not an invasion of free will, its an illumination of good things for the person to see and base their own decisions on.

Fighting and arguing doesnt do anything for anyone. It only points out your own guilt over the things you were soured on, and your insecurities in your own beliefs. You should believe what you believe, and let other people do the same, we dont need reasons from you, anymore than you really need them from us.

A Christian thanks God because all good things come from God.
A pay check is God providing for us and we should never forget that he provides. We thank God for our food in the same way. Did God go to the store and get it? Did he prepare it and set it on the table? No, but it was through His provision we have the money to buy the food and have the capability to prepare it. God is involved in the details of our lives and He is the provider of all good things. Please dig all you want, maybe you will find the truth!

I have thought about this before but everyone does have free will and maybe the person who got fired had another plan for his/her future.God never fails us. and our lives are in His Hands. Yes this is a tough question and maybe some Christians just don't know how to answer. But that was a good try, trying to stop us and everything. Well I hope you accept Jesus Christ into your life one day to share the happiness we have now.

signed,
a Christian who never gives up. :)

Oooo, you make me so uncomfortable. You're such an iconoclast.

Gee, maybe God just worked things such that the person was a good fit for the job. It doesn't really take negating the interviewer's free will, now does it.

God is a soverign God, he could do all of those things if He wanted to. Sometimes God makes other people show favor to Christians like he did to Joseph in Potiphers household, and sometimes He lets things pan out the natural way

Nope. All things are according to His plan and He has given us everything we have. That includes the good job we got due to our God given skills and attributes. If we get fired, then it was either not the right job for us, or we were not using the skills God gave us in the best fashion.

All things work for good for those who believe in Him.

Dumbest question I've ever read, it didn't even make sense. God doesn't do favors for people, if he did our loved ones wouldn't die, f*ck getting a job....you're an idiot. Atheists like you make me feel like I'm a genius.

***So elvenwhatevr, in your eyes all Christians have to be goody good, sweet, loving, passionate individuals. I believe in God in my own way, and I feel no problem with insulting a guy who insults people first...wait an eye for an eye is ringing a bell.. pssh, get a life and don't judge me...I thought you were an atheist.

You are dishonoring the brain that God gave you. And you are an alien to the Grace of God. But that is not your fault. Those you follow are just bad examples for you. Seek to enter in by the narrow way, before it is too late for you.
