Is talking to my doctor, first , the best thing to do?

They don't always come together, but they can. It's rough to deal with both of them. Talk to your doctor. They will give you meds and if you don't want meds, they can give you ideas to change your lifestyle and get rid of the depression and anxiety.

Yes often times anxiety and depression will go together in a person. I have depression and anxiety myself. Talking to your doctor is the best option. They can help get you started on some medicines and get you going the right direction for help. I am currently 20 years old and have suffered depression since in grade school. Anxiety came along with it as well. I started seeing a doctor and went to counseling for help. Go to your doctor ASAP and get some help, than you will start feeling better and notice a difference. It may take a few weeks to notice a change but it will come eventually.

Yes, talk to a doctor. I was treated for depression for many years before realising I had anxiety symptoms as well. I just thought that all the feelings were linked to the depression and didn't go into too much detail with the medics about it. It was when I started experiencing panic attacks that finally a doctor suggested a change in medication so that the anxiety was also being dealt with.

It is best to talk to your doctor first but since you asked here I will give you an answer. You can have anxiety & depression at the same time. If you feel, like you have both you most definitely need to see your doctor. Sometimes if you stay away from stress, you can keep your anxiety under control but not your depression.

Some people are depressed first and some people who have anxiety get depressed. I think talking to a doctor is the best thing to do first. It worked for me.

yes, anxiety and depression do go together. If it is getting in the way of you leading a normal life then you should talk to your doctor. I know this because I went through the same thing 2 years ago. Good luck.

Contact a doctor right away! You could possibly be suffering from bi-polar disorder. When you have bouts of depression then you are anxious and it keeps going on like a roller coaster ride. If this is what you are experiencing, then you must get help immediately as these symptoms will get worse without medication. It could also be something else, like severe depression with psychosis. Either way, just get to a doctor ASAP! For your own well being and for the well being of your loved ones, please go see your doctor immediately!

Anxiety and depression do commonly go together. It is not unusual at all to have both. I would talk to your doctor and see what his views are on it. He might refer you to a therapist or psychiatrist. The psychiatrist can work with you by going various exercises to limit the anxiety and depression and/or prescribe a medication that might help.

Anxiety and depression are two separate disorders, but they often attack the same person at the same time. They did it to me. I spent almost a year with my primary care physician and various specialist that she referred me to, trying to diagnose and cure these things. The best treatments I found (and since everyone responds differently to drugs and alternative therapy, this may not work for you) were: Paxil, yoga and meditation. I'm a much happier person than I was five years ago! Good luck.

Anxiety almost always accompanies depression. I have depression, myself... and often have anxiety problems.
Just because you might have constant anxiety, though, does not neccessarily mean that you have an anxiety disorder. Talk to your doctor.
