eBay is a great place to start. Especially if your Corvette is considered a classic (like yours a late classic) and you are not sure what the price should be, set your reserve a little higher than what you are asking. Then you will be able to see what the reception is for your car and what the market dictates.
If it sells within the usual ebay time frame of 7-10 days, great! If not, then consider one of the general auto classifieds sites like auto trader or a Corvette specific site like vettefinders.com or used corvettes for sale.
FYI our Corvette price guide shows an average 1980 Corvette selling for $9,500 and a one year appreciation of 6%.

I think its the best way to get lots of people to look at it, but it is like 100 bucks or something....because of the cost, i put mine on yahoo before they hooked up with autotrader, and it was lame, i should have used ebay, ebay gets the most potential viewer for a car of particular interest like your vette.

sure, it could be a strong concept. better than craigslist/vehicle dealer bc you receives one shopper and some digital mail tire-kickers...while w/craigslist free advertisements, you receives weirdos calling at 11pm, etc, no actual desire of shopping for, etc, etc. i have offered distinct motorcycles (motos), a pair boats, and a pair autos on ebay. My suggestion will be to commence your public sale on the bottom you would sense free to stroll away with (IE, in case you gotta have $3400 to sense strong, commence there...if $3200 is adequate, large). DO grant a purchase IT NOW. many human beings (human beings like me) are impatient...in the adventure that they see something they prefer, and they have the money, they don't opt to attend and bid adverse to different unknown internet purchasers...they prefer to get it and purchase it. do no longer make a strong shopper wait on your public sale to end. I positioned my purchase It Now on the extreme end. i'd be more than satisfied and characteristic no regrets promoting at that value (no 'want I woulda, could left it flow longers', etc.) Blue e book or perhaps extreme is wise usually. the purchase It now might want to be also a strong tactic for someone like you...commence the bid at $3200 and purchase It Now at $3400...what fool would bid minimum in the adventure that they could lock it up for $2 hundred extra? merely yet another technique that could want to artwork nicely. maximum of my auctions, as you would ahve guessed, end with in person-friendly words one or 2 bidders, yet they many times end with purchasers! ward off the "reserve' characteristic. in my opinion, this looks like you're trying to conceal your extreme value expectancies...retains purchasers guessing...in the adventure that they are on the low end of your budget, they do no longer comprehend in the adventure that they could have adequate money it...in the adventure that they have got a lot of money, they are questioning in case your expectancies are going to be actual looking. i'm impulsive, yet when I save and be conscious reserve, I merely save transferring. desire the following pointers help! :)
