What signs should I look for when a chicken eggg is hatching?

Thanks Molly, I know when it move by itself, cracking and possibly hearing the chick are signs too. But what I meant to ask was what signs should I look for other then:

the egg moving by itself

the shell cracking

and possibly hearing the chick inside.

The chick uses its egg tooth to pip (break or chip) almost all the way around the inside of the shell. This can take a long time and it is a lot of work for such a tiny chick. Inside the egg, the chick pips at the shell, rests, then trys to pip again and rest some more. When it is ready, the chick kicks off the egg shell and flops out of the shell all wet and tired.

The egg starts to move a little bit because the baby chick inside is starting to hack it's way out. Then you'll see a small crack in the shell.

there will be a little hole that dimples out, and you'll see his little beak trying to get out
