Because the Tupperware plastic is somewhat porous, so the sauce is able to really sink in and stain the plastic.

It's because of it being porous. Try using Baking Soda that should help as long as it isn't an old stain.

before putting sauce in your tupperware spray with pam or lightly oil. works for me
