...Yes i am and my friends all know about it... and my parents of course, because i told them...

Yes, almost everyone I know knows about it. I don't keep it a secret. I can't find any reason to. What will they do if they know?
It's not like they can hurt me. And PALAYER is right, having the help of medicines and support of family and friends is a very good thing. Needing help and support and not getting it is very sad and dangerous. If you meant can people tell the difference from before and after starting the meds, the answer is "Oh yea!". I'm much calmer and easier to get along with, less moody.

I am currently on antidepressants. Yes my doctors, family, relatives and good portion of my friends know I am on them. I am not afraid to let them know that I am on such medicines. I feel it always good to let people know that I am on such medicines. I had a serious side effect when on one of them, and thankfully I got help with it from family. I wasn't going to go get help but my family wanted me to and helped me. So letting people know that you are on such medicines is a great thing to do.

If they work for you now, friends might wonder and be glad to see you happy. There is no shame in taking them, the shame is to be too stubborn not to take them when they are needed.
