never feed your dog table scraps! If you have already done it once though, it is probably too late to stop. If the dog sees that its going to get yummy people food when you are eating it is going to want it everytime you eat and may eventually stop eating its own dog food because it knows it will get better food the next time you eat. It is also unhealthy. Dog food is made to give your dog all the nutrients it needs.

Table scraps are not good for your dog. Most people believe that human food is OK for dogs but indeed it is not. Yes this will encourage begging and it teaches your dog that he will get food when ever you are eating. This can be quite embarrassing when you have guest over. Feed your dog once a day with a well balanced dog food such as Purina or one of the other major brands. Most have pacific food that is designed for your dogs age and weight group. This will help him or her to grow up healthy and strong. Remember you are what you eat this goes for your dog to.

Feeding table scraps can lead to serious intestinal problems in dogs. As if the vomiting, diarrhea, and general discomfort of the dog isn't bad enough, those cases often require days of hospitalization before the dog can hold down food again. And that gets expensive fast.

If u feed your dogs table scraps a lot your dog will become used to human food and wont eat its dog food. Then anytime u eat your dog will beg u for food. Its not bad for your dog as long as u don't give it table scraps too often. But NEVER give your dog chicken bones. It is real easy for them to choke on chicken bones.

Table scraps can be used as a treat but not at the table.
Avoid giving your dog the things you don't want to east like turkey and chicken skin and pieces of fat.
Your dog needs a good lamb & rice dog food,

I don't see anything wrong with a little treat once in awhile just as long as you don't make it a habit. Don't feed him off your plate, wait till you are completely finished, then take him to his bowl and give him the scraps there. That will teach him that the plates in the house belong to you and he can't help himself to your food.
