I think the best thing would be to talk to your doctor or go to a gym and ask what they think would be appropriate for you. Walking is always good and non-stressful. But, you have to walk fast-paced, not just slow. Sit-ups and push-ups are good, too, but before you start an exercise program you should always ask a doctor. They can tell you what kind of workouts would be good for you and your body. Riding a bike or climbing stairs work great, also. The best way to get in shape is eating well-balanced meals and exercising. You should never overwork yourself, though. Your body will tell you when you've had enough. I hope this has helped!

Stop using remote controls. Remote controls are the bane of a prospective weight loser. They may be remarkable gadgets by themselves but from the weight loss point of view, they just aren’t very helpful. They really encourage us to take a laid back kind of attitude towards life itself. In fact if remote controls were not there, the television would not have become so popular. It is because of remote controls that people can remain where they are and switch from one channel to the other. And they only have to twitch a finger muscle to achieve this. Now, I have nothing against multi channel television sets but what I strongly advocate is that you get up from where you are and change the channel of the TV each time you want to do so. The same thing holds true for other remote controls as well. As it is we have remote controlled TVs, DVD players, A/Cs, garage doors, gateways and what not. The next thing we know is that we will have remote controlled people as well.

Swimming is really good for you and this time of year it is going to be fun and keep you cool also. If you want to do something that you can do all year long see if there is a Pilates or a Yoga class in your area for teens. They are both really good core workouts and they both will keep you toned and feeling great. Plus once you get the hang of them you can do them anywhere you do not have to go to a class all the time.

I feel that kick boxing or Taebo are the greatest exercise and are soo much fun! Playing a sport you enjoy such as tennis are also great fun too! But, I've had the mot sucess with Taebo, it's fun, high energy, and great for all you muscles. I hope you just want to have fun and just tone up a bit. Be yourself and have fun, don't over do you self. Summer is supposed to be fun!

I lost a lot of weight by doing this daily.
If you jump ropr for 1 hour you will lose around 1000 calories,
But I couldnt do it for 1 hour, so i broke it down into parts. I would time myself for as long as i could go and once I reached 30 minutes i stopped then later on in the day i did it again

Hello, fellow teen! I am 14, going on 15 in December(whoot!). I keep in shape by dancing advanced ballet 5-6 times a week. On my days off I do Pilates. If you don't like ballet, you can certainly try the Pilates. Your local library will probably have a pilates book that you can look at.

Do everthing you have access to do,so you won't get bored and burnt out and quit. Having a variety of exercise stimuli will keep it fun.
Ride a bike, go for a walk, jog, lift some weights, jump rope, go for a swim, play a sport, do step aerobics, just keep it interesting.
Good Luck.

you can never be too young to be healthy! Way to go on that one. Why don't you see if there are any sports in your area that you can join? Softball or something? If not, find a few friends and go play some basketball or take your dog (or a friends dog) for walks....just keep moving! Don't work yourself too hard!
