The only easy exercise is one you like, are good at, and doens't wear you out. I like to walk downtown so I can see who's out, who has a new car, what gas is up to today, ect. I do work out on my treadmill but find it boring.
But walking is easy for me.
I have a friend who power walks. She is good at it. It makes my legs hurt. Stamina is more important than speed for a beginner.
Some people like to run. I can't run up stairs without giving out.
I also do sit ups. They take work but are easier than some of the others.
It's your decision.

If exercise is easy, it doesn't do all that much for you (though any exercise is better than none).
Walking is easy, but doesn't really add any muscle tone, strength, flexibility or agilty and it doesn't burn tons of calories either.
Experts suggest it takes 6 - 8 weeks to develop or break a habit. Find an exercise program you like and stick with it 3 times a week for 2 months. Most people who do this religiously will find themselves quite addicted. Exercise releases endorphins into the brain which are actually natural drugs. They make you feel good.
Exercise doesn't have to be regimented, and you don't have to do the same thing every day. Changing it up is good. You can play basketball one day, swim another, play tennis another, etc.
Just get moving.

Deep water running with a waist flotation device. This exercise is very low impacting on the body, can be sustained for optimal aerobic, and can be fun. Many calories can be used and one can even listen to music on your portable!

Speed walking. Jogging can be hard, and plain walking wont do much for you unless you walk miles. Walk but walk fast enough to get a little out of breath and break a sweat. Good Luck.
